HOW A FULE EXPERIENCE WORKS.
A clear journey from experience to reflection and a practical next step.
The seven stages

NOT A LESSON. AN EXPERIENCE.
Every Experience runs the same seven stages.
Objective
You are told what the session is for, without being told the answer.
Challenge
You get a real problem, and nobody tells you the right way to do it.
Interaction
You make something, compare it with other people's, and decide together.
Reflection
You stop and look at how you thought, not just at what you came up with.
Evidence
You and your facilitator capture meaningful examples of your learning.
Insight
You put one thing you now understand about yourself into your own words.
Next step
You pick one small thing to try before the next Experience.
Leadership Intelligence
LEADERSHIP ISN'T ONE SKILL.
It's how you show up.
Knowing what you are actually like, and being honest about it. Self-awareness, noticing your own feelings, taking responsibility, and knowing what you are aiming at.
Working with other people rather than around them. Listening, empathy, communication, kindness and collaboration.
How you think when there is no obvious answer. Critical thinking, judgement, creativity and deciding.
What you do when things change or go wrong. Resilience, flexibility, handling uncertainty, and learning from it.
Turning an idea into something that actually happens. Execution, initiative and accountability.
Who any of it is for, and why it matters. Purpose, ethics, and the difference your work makes to other people.
Three levels. A journey of becoming.
Leadership begins with understanding yourself. It grows through your relationships with others. And it takes shape in what you choose to do.
Through connected Experiences, young people practise leadership skills, reflect on their choices and carry their learning into everyday life.
Level 1 · Age 14
Team Stars
Lead yourself
Discover your voice. Understand your emotions. Recognise how your choices affect yourself and others. Through shared challenges, creative activities and guided reflection, young people begin to build the confidence and self-awareness to act with greater intention.
- Self-awareness and emotional intelligence
- Active listening and empathy
- Confidence and self-expression
- Personal responsibility and accountability
- Curiosity and creative thinking
Level 2 · Age 15
Rising Stars
Grow with others
Make space for different perspectives. Find your place in a team—and help others find theirs. Young people explore how to communicate, navigate disagreements and make thoughtful decisions together, learning that leadership grows through trust and shared responsibility.
- Communication and public speaking
- Teamwork and shared leadership
- Understanding and respecting differences
- Ethical judgement and responsible influence
- Navigating disagreement and building trust
Level 3 · Age 16
Future Shapers
Turn ideas into meaningful action
Notice what could be better. Imagine a possibility. Take responsibility for making it happen. Young people bring their skills together to develop a business idea with a clear purpose, test their thinking and present their proposal—learning to adapt, respond to feedback and explain why their idea matters.
- Creativity and problem-solving
- Thoughtful decision-making
- Initiative and project ownership
- Adaptability and learning from feedback
- Presenting ideas with clarity and purpose
Understanding a changing world
Technology is part of the world young people are learning to lead in. Where it supports the Experience, we explore tools and developments such as Artificial Intelligence, their impact on people and the choices they raise. The technology we explore evolves as the world changes, with human judgement and responsibility at the centre.
How progress is recorded
YOUR JOURNEY. YOUR EVIDENCE. YOUR NEXT MOVE.
FULE doesn't score who you are. It helps you understand how you grow.
Explored
You took part in something that needed it, and you can say what you tried or noticed.
Practised
You have used it on purpose in more than one Experience, and you can say what changed.
Demonstrated
You have used it on your own in a new or harder situation, repeatedly on several occasions, and you can explain your thinking.
Each milestone recognises how you have explored, practised or demonstrated a skill, supported by reflection and facilitator observations.
Milestones mark things that happened. Every one of them can be earned by everyone, there is no table of who is ahead of whom, and once one is yours it stays yours.
The format
ONE ROOM. ONE REAL CHALLENGE.
An Experience is led in person by a facilitator, with a group of young people in one room.
It starts with a real challenge rather than a talk. You work on it with other people, compare what you made, and decide together.
Then you stop and look at how you thought, put one thing you noticed into your own words, and choose one small thing to try before the next Experience.
The Experiences for our first pilot are shared directly with the schools taking part.
The world is always the same…until someone changes it.
